NASHVILLE — Rising country singer/songwriter, Johnny Dailey, released his new single “Got Married” today Friday, August 26, 2022. Co-written by Dailey, Dan Couch (Cody Johnson, Elvie Shane, Lauren Alaina, Kip Moore) and Matty Bubel (Ellie Goulding, AJ Mitchell, Tenille Arts), "Got Married" is his most personal and honest release thus far. The song tells the autobiographical story of his own life, capturing the sentiment of even though things don't quite work out how you expected them to, it’s those life changes that make life even more beautiful than initially expected. The music video features not only present day clips of Johnny, his wife Michelle and their two children but also footage from Johnny and his wife’s wedding. Each piece of footage offers viewers an inside glimpse of his authentic love story, subsequently serving as the perfect visual for a song about embracing the unexpected and cherishing all of life’s blessings. However, it’s the moment at the end of the video that feels like a full circle moment for not only the song but Johnny and his wife as their sons sweetly share an ultrasound photo of their baby sister on the way.
“When I found out we were having a third baby, I was downstairs drinking coffee and Michelle came up and showed me a positive test,” Johnny shared with People. “Since we have two boys we were hoping for a little girl. A few weeks later we found out it was a girl! We are both so excited.”
On Thursday, Johnny was handpicked by Instagram as the “Reels Star Of The Week” where he interviewed for a spotlight Q&A on Instagram’s official Creator’s account and shared a live performance of “Got Married” for their 10.5 million followers. Summer 2022 has been a busy time for Johnny who previously released “Beers In It” which received tremendous support from media outlets such as E! Online, Entertainment Tonight, CMT and the Academy of Country Music among others. Earlier this year, Johnny released his debut EP, Dillashaw, a six-track collection that helped to further cement Johnny as a breakout artist in the genre as noted by Billboard’s inclusion on their 2022 Artists to Watch list. He has racked up over 2 million global streams from fan-favorite tracks such as “24” and “Trouble” and in September he'll be providing direct support to Jo Dee Messina in Texas. With hardwork, grit and determination, Johnny maintains his staying power in a stacked genre with each new release as he draws in more and more listeners with his soulful vocals that are perfectly complemented with emotional and relatable lyrics. With more new music and shows planned for 2022, it’s clear that there’s no stopping the upward trajectory for this budding star.
