NASHVILLE, TN - (April 21, 2023) -One of Music City’s most promising young singer-songwriters, Taylon Hope, has released her sentimental single, “The Day.” The new music reflects upon the years leading up to one of life’s biggest milestones, high school graduation. “The Day” is a song that Taylon hopes so many graduates can relate to as they think back on their high school experience and share this milestone with the ones they love most. It’s about painting faces and rival football games, first dances, winning the tug, late nights trying to study, but just talking instead. It’s making State, beach trips, bonfires, driving to school for the first time, surviving a pandemic while still going to school, first dates, first heartbreaks and surviving States. Helping each other through the highs and lows and carrying each other on to the finish line every time. It’s a turning point in the lives of graduating seniors and they approach adulthood. Graduation Day is “The Day” everyone plans for! The day shared with parents, families, teachers and closest friends. It’s one of those moments frozen in time that no one will ever forget. Each student arrives at “The Day” in different ways, but in the end everyone accomplishes it together. Entering Kindergarten seems so far away now, as the entire class moves on. “The Day” that’s been waited for forever is finally here!
“I co-wrote this song with Bill Diluigi and it was truly a song that was on my heart as I am finally there myself, ready to graduate high school with my peers and move forward to my next journey!” shared Taylon Hope. “I always dreamed of writing a song for my senior class so it was finally that time. I love that I wrote this song with Bill, as he was one of the first writers I had ever gotten to write with at age 11, when I began working with my producer Kent Wells in Nashville. It was a full circle moment writing this song with him.”
Producer Kent Wells expressed, “Taylon has always been one of my favorite artists that I’ve gotten to work with and she’s really captured a sentiment that will resonate with almost everyone on this song!”
“...The day you let go of momma’s hand
She said go ahead and walk on in
Is the day you find your very first best friend
Then it’s 5th, 6th and 7th grade
Junior prom homecoming parade
Man you wish you could do it all again
It’s like your just get started and then
It’s the day we all move on together
The day we waited for forever
We seen how much we’ve grown along the way
The highs the lows the goods the bads
All the memories that we had
They’ll always be here in our hearts to stay
This is gonna be our year
So we’ll cry laugh and cheer
For the day
For the day...”
