Nashville, Tenn. – Levi Hummon is no stranger to being the life of the party as highlighted by his high-energy stage presence and long list of viral, hit singles. At his annual hometown show at Nashville’s 3rd & Lindsley last night, Hummon welcomed surprise guests and friends Walker Hayes and Cassadee Pope to celebrate their successful collaborations and throw hints at what’s to come this year - including his newly announced single, “Rent Free.” Available to pre-save ahead of its Feb. 17 release, “Rent Free” is Hummon’s latest genre-bending endeavor showing fans an alternate side of his musical ability. The release will be followed by a full length project in the works coming later this year.
“When we were writing ‘Rent Free’ I told my co-writers I wanted to incorporate the kind of music that I grew up listening to. I was a skater growing up, and despite my family's country music roots, I tended to turn up a lot more alternative music like Weezer, Nirvana, and anything in that world,” Levi shared. “‘Rent Free’ is a breakup song, but it's also the next step in showing my fans where the music is heading.”
Hummon captivated the audience with live renditions of his hits such as ‘Paying For It,” “Good Riddance,” “RSVP.” The packed crowd enjoyed a night of special guests and TikTok dance-alongs, including a sneak peak of “Rent Free.” The show marks the beginning of a big year for Hummon who has been busy writing, recording and building his team. Additionally, the show established the official Levi Hummon Fan Club, Hummon Birds, which offers exclusive opportunities, sneak peeks and behind the scenes looks at Levi’s upcoming projects.
With over 162 million streams due in large part to fan favorites such as “Wedding Dress,” “Stupid” and another recent duet with Walker Hayes called “Paying For It,” which saw major success on TikTok, Levi has established a devoted and loyal fan-base. Having opened for acts like Hardy, Jordan Davis, Brett Eldridge, Brett Young and selling out his own headlining shows, it’s clear why he’s been named one of Entertainment Weekly’s 5 Artists Breaking Now and One to Watch by Rolling Stone Country. With music on Spotify’s New Boots, Wild Country, Next from Nashville, and many more, along with support from Pandora and Apple Music, Levi is constantly expanding his reach in the country genre and beyond. With more new music ahead and exciting announcements to come, Levi is preparing for what could be the biggest year yet.
