We recently caught up with the busy teenager to chat about her music, life and aspirations.

Hi Jordana! Thanks for taking the time to chat with us. We love your new single "New Friends." Can you give us a little background information about it?

“New Friends” is about growing up and drifting apart from a close friend. I wrote it from a real experience when a friend was canceling plans and distancing herself and it was really heartbreaking at the time. I think everyone can relate to this at some point or another - it’s one of life’s growing pains everyone has to experience.

You are already making quite a name for yourself at just 16 years old. How do you balance your career, while still being a "normal" teenager? Do you have any advice you'd like to share with other young artists?

I’ve been really lucky to still be able to have a very normal teenage experience. My advice to anyone trying to do the same would be to make sure to surround yourself with people who have your best interests at heart because those are the people who will keep you grounded and help you stay true to yourself throughout your journey.

Your dad is a musician himself. How has he influenced or helped navigate you in this industry?

My dad has influenced me more than I can say! He was the first person to get me interested in learning about music and taught me my first chord on the guitar. Growing up with constant music in the house really ingrained a passion for music in me.

Your house has always been filled with music. Who are some artists that were played in your home while growing up?

LeeAnn Womack, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, George Strait and Dolly Parton… just to name a few!

You have a pretty large following on TikTok! Who are some of your favorite creators that you follow?

There are so many amazing creators on TikTok and I discover more favorites constantly! Right now I’m loving Emily Weisband, Lainey Wilson and Restless Road.

What are you looking forward to most this year?

I’m so excited to continue releasing music with my new team behind me at Riser House Entertainment! I can’t wait to see how their support helps me continue to grow as an artist and person!
