Melody's Miscellaneous: Interview with Justine Blazer

Detroit, Michigan native turned Nashville, Tennessee superstar, Justine Blazer is a force to be reckoned with in the music industry. Not only is she a talented singer, songwriter and performer, she's also one of the few female producers in the business. We recently caught up with this lovely powerhouse to see what she's been up to, as well as what she has planned for 2022.

Wow! Congrats on being a Grammy contender! Who would be the first person you thanked in an acceptance speech at an Awards Show?

Thank you so much! Great question. I would thank my family, my musical influences and everything who had ever believed in me.

You've opened for Jason Aldean, Lee Brice, Justin Moore, Kathy Mattea and Regis Philbin. If you could go on tour with any other country artist, who would you pick?

Reba! I love her so much.

Which category would you love to win an award in most?

Producer or vocalist!

Your song "Undercover Lover" was recently played on an episode of "The Young and the Restless." Did you watch the episode and what was it like hearing your song on such a famous show?

I did watch it! It was really surreal to hear my music on a national TV show. Super cool.

Do you have any projects planned for 2022 yet?

Yes, I am dropping my new EP coming early 2022. Excited!

Justine's latest music video for her single "Good Trouble" premiered on CMT in September. You can check out our review of the song here!
