MY SISTER MY BROTHER DUO OF GARRISON STARR AND SEAN MCCONNELL SURPRISE FANS WITH NEW SINGLE

Nashville, Tenn. – My Sister, My Brother, the songwriting duo of Garrison Starr and Sean McConnell, surprise fans, and themselves, with the new single “Cry Me A River” out now. Addressing their fans on social medial last week, Sean McConnell admits, “We could like to y’all and say we are pulling a Beyoncé surprise drop, power move. But in actuality, due to the digital gods, we’re just as surprised as y’all are. So… SURPRISE! Meet ‘Cry Me A River’… My Sister My Brother’s new single that we’ve been so eager to share with y’all. 2 weeks early… ya know… because we couldn’t wait.” Garrison adds, Cry Me A River’ is one of the most important songs I’ve ever been a part of writing. Songs like this are proof of the magic and mystery of music and the importance of staying as open as possible for the muse to find us. I was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time with my heart in the right space. I am so grateful.” As surprising as the unannounced drop, is the reaction from fans who have quickly propelled the song to the top spot on My Sister My Brother’s popular tracks on Spotify. Next, the duo prepare to head out on tour to support “Cry Me A River,” including their first performance at The Grand Ole Opry in Nashville on May 12th. My Sister My Brother debuted in 2020 with their self-titled EP. Shortly after release the World was sadly brought to a halt by an unavoidable two-year global pandemic. The artists reunited as soon as travel bans were lifted and began creating new music. After a week of hunkering down at McConnell’s Silent Desert Studio, they emerged with a collection of seven new songs entitled My Sister, My Brother II. The pair’s hopes for My Sister, My Brother II are rooted in creating art that takes on a deeper, more human mission both for themselves and for anyone who hears the songs. My Sister, My Brother II is due September 29, 2023.
