NASHVILLE, TENN. – The holiday season is in full swing and new country artist Mark Taylor is ringing in the holiday season with his own rendition of Please Come Home For Christmas, a classic holiday song that was made famous by The Eagles. This tune is available on all digital streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, and more.
Even though Mark grew up listening to 90’s country, he was also exposed to classic rock artists like The Allman Brothers Band and The Eagles. “My grandfather had a jukebox business so there was always an eclectic amount of music I listened to when I was younger,” says Mark. “To this day, we still have all the 45s in the basement, but I’ve always loved The Eagles version of this song. I wanted to put my own spin on it and show fans more of an acoustic mellow vibe of this song.”
Guided by steel strings, bass, drums and an acoustic guitar, this soulful song was produced by Leland Grant (Chris Young, Rachel Bradshaw). Mark is wrapping up an eventful year with a full-fledged US tour which included playing some of the biggest country music festivals such as Tin Pan South Songwriters Festival (TN), Country Fest (WI), FrogFest (NY), CMA Music Festival (TN), and more. He opened for artists including Joe Nichols, Jon Pardi, Russel Dickerson, and more. His releases Dust Off That Dirt, Dust Off That Dirt – Acoustic, and Remember The Party achieved over 161K streams just on Spotify. His music video for Dust Off That Dirt made its premiere on The Country Network, broadcasting to over 40 million households. He also partnered with CALI Distillery for the launch of his own honey bourbon whiskey – Steel String Signature. Mark took a hands-on approach with every aspect of this, from taste to name choice to design and packaging. “With the name of this whiskey that was inspired by the steel strings I had in my hand for as long as I can remember, I hope that you sit back and remember your favorite song as you sip a glass of my handcrafted Steel String Signature Whiskey.” Partnered with CALI Distillery, this limited edition spirit is currently available online through their retail partner, Great American Craft Spirits.
