They say the neon lights are bright on Broadway, but that isn't just true for New York City. Nashville recording artist Carrie Cunningham has been shining bright with the delivery of her Showgirl Series, where she releases a new song on the 11th of every month. Her upcoming album "Showgirl" is set to drop this coming November.
No newcomer to the limelight, Carrie has performed on over 1,000 stages across the United States and has opened for the likes of Kacey Musgraves, Crystal Gayle, Kelsea Ballerini, Jake Owen, Sugarland, Charlie Daniels and more.
You were all over me, it was hands on my body, running through the hotel lobby...
Her August Showgirl Series release, "All Over Me," is a Madonna-esque pop tune with an early 90s beat. The intro had us envisioning a cool nightclub scene with strobe lights in slow motion and our hearts pounding along with the beat. The song tells the story of a pair of lovers in the heat of passion - one minute they are all over each other and the next acting like nothing happened. Carrie's powerful vocals hooked us instantly and the brazenly shameless lyrics left us wanting more.
You were all over me, now you're all over me...
The singer, who co-wrote "All Over Me" with Lo Lind and Trace Thompson, initially wanted to pitch the song to another artist before deciding to release it herself. We are so glad she changed her mind!
Be sure to check out Carrie's previous releases, including our personal favorites - country tunes "Just A Bar Thing" and "Doors Don't Close."
