Review: Don't Stop Amanda McCarthy While She's On a Roll

Amanda McCarthy is a storyteller compelled to speak the truth. The award-winning songwriter, recording artist and New England native has been based in Nashville since 2020. Blending many influences, her original music is the infusion of pop, country, rock and modern folk, sprinkled with self-described millennial snark and the heart of an old soul.

She has supported shows for Steven Tyler (of Aerosmith), Hunter Hayes, Train, Imagine Dragons, Rob Thomas, REO Speedwagon, Hall & Oates, One Republic, Styx, Jason Lancaster (of Mayday Parade), Pentatonix, James Arthur, Jason Isbell, Natasha Bedingfield, O.A.R., Frank Turner, Fitz & the Tantrums, Hawthorne Heights, Levi Hummon, Alex Preston, and Abby Anderson. She has also been a guest of NASCAR and Royal Caribbean, and had a National Anthem performance televised on ESPN.

Her debut full-length album "Road Trip" was released in 2019 to high acclaim and her Nashville-debut single "Don't Stop Me" was released in March of 2022.

I don't need your drama, it just tears me down. Feel bad for your mama, but that's not my problem now...

This empowering anthem is a multi-genre masterpiece, featuring rock-influenced lyrics with a twist of classic country. The single really showcases Amanda's confidence, not only in her vocal abilities but also in her incredible resilience. Listening to "Don't Stop Me" made us not only feel more positive about our own self-worth, but also reiterated just how cool Amanda McCarthy is...picture Taylor Swift meets Joan Jett. Can we be best friends?!
