NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Rising California Country artist Mitch Bradford has released his new single “Slow It Down” today, July 5. The track is the second release from his upcoming 4th studio album, Close, expected to drop at the end of this summer. Matching the energy of the first single, the song is characterized by a full bodied Country/Americana sound pulling together all the best aspects of bluegrass, singer/songwriter, rock, folk and classic country. The infectiously catchy tune is paired with light hearted and happy lyrics, creating an engaging and genuinely positive listening experience. Listen to the song here.
“The song is about how when you meet someone new, sometimes your heart can move faster than your head. You can meet someone and suddenly your brain explodes with all these stories -- imagining you and this person getting married, moving in together, taking trips, all sorts of ideas and dreams even though you just met seconds ago. So, sometimes, you gotta ‘Slow It Down,’” Mitch shared in an exclusive interview with Entertainment Focus.
“Slow It Down,” as well as the project’s first release, “More Than Life” and the additional eight songs on his upcoming album, were recorded at the historic Studio D at The Village where Fleetwood Mac recorded their music. Mitch prioritized staying true to capturing the heart of California in each song from the very beginning of the recording process. Finding great integrity in creating music with lyrics and sound that illustrate nothing but the most genuine messages of positivity and passion while also showcasing an enduring respect for the past and all that surrounds him, Mitch has created a timeless tune with “Slow It Down.”
While his love for music began as a child in the small town of Brownsville, Texas, Mitch eventually headed out West to make a name for himself in music. He has accrued over 1 million streams on Spotify with fan favorite tracks such as “Love Is Kind” and “Sweet Defender.” The forthcoming release of Close is particularly meaningful to Mitch as he completely funded the project himself, compiling all the money he made from shows, and through investing and selling cryptocurrency to bring the whole project to reality. The release later this year will mark the first time a country record has ever been fully funded by crypto, with the more meaningful component to this being that it will mark an independent artist taking full control of his dreams, and investing in the work he believes in passionately and wholeheartedly. With more new music on the way this year, Mitch is dedicated to taking listeners on a country americana journey with a 70s radio Rock flair.
