Steve Moakler Announces Make A Little Room Release Tour

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Renowned Nashville songwriter and Country/Americana artist Steve Moakler has announced his upcoming tour in correlation with the release of his highly anticipated 7th studio album. The six-stop Make A Little Room Release Tour kicks off August 5 in Warrendale, Pennsylvania hitting D.C., New York City and concluding in Nashville on August 27. Tickets for the tour will be on sale Friday, June 24 at noon local time.

“I’m not sure I’ve ever had so much excitement and anticipation around a run of shows… It's been close to 4 years since I’ve performed in a music venue,” Steve Moakler said. “Gonna be a really special time celebrating this new music with the people we made it for.”

Fans will be in for a treat as Steve shares brand new songs from the album including the title track and “Let’s Go To The Lake,” which was just released Friday, June 17. Co-written by Steve, Creative Nation founder Luke Laird (Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney, Blake Shelton, Eric Church) and Barry Dean (Tim McGraw, Carrie Underwood, Little Big Town, Jason Aldean), “Let’s Go To The Lake'' is equal parts hopeful and sentimental as Steve’s smooth vocals urge the listener to find nostalgia in what was once lost.

From the moment we started writing it, I had a feeling that this was gonna be a key song on the album,” Steve Moakler said. “Aside from just being really fun, it also felt so real and relatable. I like to imagine people listening to this as they make a break outta town together. I think it’ll sound good through some boat speakers too!

The new track shares a common theme that is laced throughout the entirety of the album, which is to treasure life's simple moments and those you spend it with. No matter the circumstances. Last month, Steve released the album’s title track which received early support from CMT and American Songwriter. Tomorrow (June 21) Steve will join Taste of Country for an Instagram Live Q&A to delve deeper into the songwriting behind the album and a special acoustic performance of a few select songs on the album.

The album which will be available for purchase Friday, August 12, features co-writes with some of Nashville's most distinguished songwriters in the genre, including Marcus Hummon (Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts, The Chicks, Wynonna Judd), Neil Medley (Luke Bryan, Kid Rock, Jake Owen, Lindsay Ell), and Lucie Silvas among others. With Steve serving as a co-writer on all of the tracks, each of the 10 songs features his uncommon wisdom paired perfectly alongside rootsy rhythms and tender vocals.

In 2014, the Pittsburgh native signed with Creative Nation and has gone on to release several critically acclaimed and autobiographical albums. The “thoughtful singer/songwriter,” as noted by Rolling Stone Country, has also penned songs performed by Reba McEntire, Dierks Bentley, Jake Owen and Ben Rector among others. His work as a songwriter has seen multiple chart success including Dierks Bentley’s song “Riser” which was RIAA certified Gold. Moakler appeared on the Grand Ole Opry stage, toured with Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, Old Dominion and Willie Nelson, while also forging meaningful relationships with his fans as he canvassed the country on tour. With the impending release of Make A Little Room, Steve continues to create not only reflective music for his own personal journey, but also songs that are highly relatable and effortlessly uplifting for all listeners. With more new music and exciting announcements on the way, be sure to keep up with Steve on his official website.
